DEEP DIVISION ROCKS NUP AS MP ELECTS ARE TIPPED TO EAT BIG IN M7’S CABINET

National Unity Platform (NUP) opposition has been thrown into deeper disarray after information leaked that more than 10 Members of Parliament were tipped for Juicy Government positions including ministerial positions.

According to the impeachable source, the feuding broke out recently when some MP elects within NUP among them Abubaker Kawalya, Aloysius Matovu of Rubaga and Bashir Kazibwe Kawempe South MP have since stopped picking NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi’s calls and vowed not attend the Party functions.

These MPs are said to have met key NRM figures, and in the meeting they agreed to work with NRM party, after discovering that Hon Robert Kyagulanyi was also benefiting from NRM. Some of the said MPs were promised money for rent with relocation funds from their former residents for example one of them was to relocate from his ghetto residence to Najeera, a suburb in Nakawa Division.

Source further reveled that these MPs are said to have deliberately refused to congratulate Hon Robert Kyagulanyi after he failed obtained ‘election victory’ and instead opted for peaceful ways of reconciliation with NRM by not attending meetings intended for mobilizing the public for demonstrations.

Other members have been wondering why these MPs have refused to attend meetings with Bobi Wine to join hands in the struggle to rescue all the NUP youths who were arrested for participating in riots.

“That’s why I feel bad each time I look at what Hon Kyagulanyi is going to do with all these moles. The world is all looking at him.” Said one of the bitter member

NUP Leadership have in the past faulted David Lewis Rubongoya NUP lawyer and some members of secretly working and entering a co-operation deal with President Museveni which has consequently led to the further weakening of the party. Especially Hon Betty Nambonze and Hon Allan Ssewanyana who crossed from DP were earlier accused by Hon Kyagulanyi of failing to submit their DR forms.

The division in the party has triggered an even more significant falling-out in the party as the party is planning on who to second for the position of the leader of opposition in Parliament and other Parliament committees.

  1. Money is a rootcause of several evil acts and betrayal. Watch the space, we shall all witness the fact that its just a few individuals that joined Kyagulanyi in the struggle with genuine cause, while others were opportunists and used him as a radar to escape poverty, no patriotism at all. I rest my case.
