President Museveni hosts Muslims to Iftar dinner



President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today hosted Muslims from all over the country  to Iftar dinner at State house Entebbe. 

The President congratulated the Moslem community for nearing the end of the holly month and thanked the all the Moslems for spreading the message of peace throughout the country.

Museveni said that Islam preaches Unity and so does Christianity. He wondered why some people use religion to divide people yet they both teach the same thing. 


The supreme Mufti who was speaking on behalf of Uganda Moslems Supreme Council congratulated President Museveni upon his re-election and thanked him for making it a tradition of hosting Muslims at State house in every month of Ramadan.

The Mufti also thanked the President for leading the country through the Covid-19 pandemic which has left many people dead around the world.

The dinner was also attended by the Vice Chairperson NRM Hajji Moses Kigongo, The Priminister Hon.Rukana Rugunda, the Deputy Priminister Gen. Moses Ali, all district Khadis among others
