PEOPLE POWER AND NEW FORMATION ARE THREATS TO THE OPPOSITION NOT NRM

In the recent days opposition supporters in Uganda have put all their hope in the newly formed political pressure groups that is the People power movement led by Bobi Wine and the New Formation led by Mugisha Muntu. The opposition loyalists think that these new forces will led them into power but this is most likely not going to happen since these pressure groups have only weakened the existing opposition political parties instead of NRM.

The New Formation has been created out of FDC and continues to recruit members from FDC while no one from the ruling NRM has departed to join the group yet. As of today, FDC and their sympathizers have resorted to attacking Mugisha Muntu and his group as NRM watches from aside her enemies tearing themselves.

The people power movement is also receiving mass support from opposition strongholds like Kampala and has also been embraced by opposition leaders and supporters especially those from FDC and DP. In the strongholds of NRM, people power movement is a joke plus no one has deserted NRM to join PP.

The formation of these two new pressure groups has actually led to the collapse of the opposition political parties leaving their main target NRM growing stronger. It seems like the opposition doesn’t understand that even if all of them united, they don’t have 40% of the voting population but surprisingly they continue dividing themselves which is a win for NRM.
