40 UPDF OFFICERS PROMOTED TO THE RANK OF GENERAL




President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the Commander in Chief of the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces has promoted several officers of the UPDF.
The Commander in Chief Promoted 7 Brigadier Generals to the rank of Major General and 3e Conels to the rank of of Brigadier General.

Below is a full list of those promoted 




Uganda Peoples Defence Forces was so named in the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda. It was initially called the National Resistance Army which was the Force that fought the February 6, 1981 to January 26, 1986 Liberation war that saw the final overthrow of dictatorship in Uganda.

ENEMIES OF ISLAM HIDING AMONG MUSLIMS TO DESTROY ISLAM

  The media in Uganda is awash with stories by opportunistic political leaders and some Muslim clerics that government of Uganda is fighting and persecuting Muslims by labeling them terrorists. FDC Torn apart over Voter Bribery in Forthcoming Party Elections

Greed for power among different Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party leaders has created an imbalance in the forthcoming party elections as infighting intensifies. Reports indicate that worrying groups for FDC presidency, including incumbent president Patrick Amuriat and party Secretary General Nandala Mafabi, each deployed units of bouncers at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi over the weekend, accusing one another of fixing non-party members on the voters’ register. According to a party leader who spoke to this publication on condition of anonymity, Mafabi, who has made it clear it’s his time for the party top seat, installed bouncers after netting agents from Amuriat’s faction fraudulently issuing party cards to non-party members to participate in the pending party elections.
