Over 5000 Ugandans recover from Covid-19 in 7 day



According to records from the Ministry of Health, 5013 Ugandans recovered from Covid-19 between 29th June and 5th July 2021.

Uganda also recorded the lowest number of daily death since June 20th, on 5th July with 17 people succumbing to the Corona Virus pandemic bringing the total of death to 2,012.

The country is currently battling the second wave of the pandemic which has resulted into an increase in the number of daily infections and death.

Results of COVID-19 tests done on 05 July 2021 confirm 425 new cases bringing the cumulative confirmed cases are 84,979.

The breakdown of the new cases are: 421 Contacts  and Alerts : Kampala (138) Mbarara (37) Wakiso (32) Gulu (2) Kyotera (24) Masaka (15) Ibanda (12) Kalangala (11) Isingiro (10) Bushenyi (10) Arua (10) Lyantonde (8) Kabale (7) Kyankwanzi (7) Hoima (7) Soroti (6) Mitooma (5)Kalungu (5) Kanungu (4) Mukono (3) Adjumani (3) Rukiga (3) Mbale (3) Moyo (3) Kapchorwa (3) Kazo (3) Busia (2) Kisoro (2) Kiryandongo (2) Kakumiro (2) Luwwero (2) Butambala (2) Lwengo (2) Maracha (2) Masindi (2) Pallisa (1) Buhweju (1) Rubanda (1) Buliisa (1) Jinja (1)Kibaale (1) Budaka (1) Kagadi (1)

However, on the same date, 827 Ugandans recovered from Covid-19 bringing the total number of recoveries to 57,964
