Positivity rate remains high ahead of President Museveni’s address about the Covid-19 situation
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to address the Nation tonight at 8pm, about the current Covid-19 situation in the country after the end of a 42 days lockdown.
The 42 days lockdown has seen Covid-19 cases drop to less than 400 daily from over 1000 cases daily before the lockdown was announced.
However, the positivity rate remain high at 10 percent according to tests done on July 28th, which is worrisome to the country as many call for easing of restrictions.
Experts warn that Uganda will easily plunge into a third and more devastating wave of the pandemic if the preventive guidelines and restrictions are lifted.
