NRM unveils Museveni official campaign portrait for 2021 general elections

 

 

The National Resistance Movement(NRM) has unveiled the official campaign portrait of its presidential candidate President

Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ahead of the 2021 general elections .

 

The NRM Secretary General Rt Hon Justine Kasule Lumumba and the Party’s National Treasurer Hon Rose Namayanja Nsereko unveil the official campaign portrait of their party Flag bearer and Presidential candidate, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ahead of the general elections scheduled for January 2021.

 

in her Media address at the Party Head offices in Kampala on Sunday, SG Lumumba said the forthcoming campaigns shall run under the theme, "Securing the Future" which is best explained under the four core principles of the NRM which are Patriotism, Pan Africanism, Socio-economic transformation and Democracy.

 

 “As NRM, we would like to unveil to Ugandans the official portrait of our Presidential candidate for the 2021 general elections,” Hon. Lumumba revealed.

On the same event, Lumumba disclosed to the media that the Party shall present its Presidential candidate to the independent electoral commission for nomination on the 2nd of November this year.

 

President Museveni’s presidential bid was endorsed by over 5 million Ugandans who offered their signatures endorsing him as a presidential candidate.

 

Atleast 14 presidential aspirants have returned to the Electoral Commission forms including signatures seconding them for verification ahead of nomination early next month for the 2021 race. The increase in the number of opposition candidates has increased the chances of Museveni retaining the presidential seat.
