Video: Kyagulanyi okays not wearing face masks amidst increase in Covid-19 cases
The National Unity Platform presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi has disappointed many Ugandans after telling a congregation that it is okay congregate while not wearing face masks amidst an increase in Covid-19 cases and deaths in Uganda.
Kyagulanyi who was campaigning at one of the rallies in northern Uganda told the masses that not putting on a face mask is not a big deal. “if you don’t have a mask it is okay don’t put it on,” he said.
Many Ugandans have expressed their disappointment via social media saying Kyagulanyi has shown that he doesn’t care about the lives of Ugandans who he is exposing to corona virus.
Results of COVID-19 tests done on 08 December 2020 confirmed 1,199 new cases. The cumulative confirmed cases as of 8th December were 25,059.
However Kyagulanyi has insisted on behaving in a manner that increases the spread of Covid-19.
