Entebbe: Police Arrests Twelve, Eight Motorcycles Recovered
Police in Entebbe have arrested twelve suspected robbers and recovered eight motorcycles plus a pair of number plate in an operation carried out between 15th October and 19th, 2022.
According to Police, some of the suspected robbers were arrested from Ngobe while using a motorcycle reg.no. UEX 599 T.
The arrested are identified as Byamukama Julius, Segirinya Emmanuel, Kinene Badru and Katuga Jamada, a 30-year-old, and both residents of Ndejje, Waswa Kasozi, a 26-year-old, and boda-boda rider with no stage but works from Ndejje and is a resident of Bulenga.
Others are Senyondo Francis, 25 years from Zana who makes chapattis and is a broker, Muyimba Brian 26 years from Katale Bukwenda, Walukaga Ibrahim, a 23-year-old from Aiden Ndejje and Kitayimbwa Ronald 27 years from Lweza A, both are boda boda cyclists, Fred Namujuliwa, 32 years, also a boda boda cyclist at Bweya road stage and a resident of Lweza B, Nsamba Matiya 22 years, a mechanic residing at Katale Kunsalo in Nsangi as well as Kasasa Ronald 33years boda-boda cyclist at St Mary's Kitende and a resident of Kawoto village.
Police said that during the operation, a pair of number plate UBJ 392Z was recovered while the five had already been received by the owners through cash payments to the robbers ranging from Ugx100,000 to Ugx150,000.
The suspects are in Police custody as it carries out further investigations.
