President Museveni Gifts Boda boda Riders with 24 New Motorcycles
The President of Uganda Yoweri K Museveni has given 24 brand new motorcycles to Bodaboda Riders at Kingdom Kampala stage. The President who was represented by State House Comptroller Jane Barekye, was fulfilling his pledge to the Boda boda Riders that he made in March 2022.
At an event held at Verma House, Lugogo bypass in Kampala, Jane Barekye stated that the motorcycles came as an appreciation for the great love the riders at the stage have shown the President.
“I have given you these motorcycles because of the great love you shower me whenever I bypass your Boda boda stage,” President Museveni’s statement read.
While addressing the riders, Barekye said the President gave them the motorcycles also as an incentive to boost their business.
“The president has also given you these motorcycles as an incentive to boost your business,” Barekye stated.
The president further advised the riders not to sell their brand new motorcycles, avoid drunkenness and focus on working for the betterment of their lives and their families.
Barekye appreciated the Bodaboda riders for attending the function with their wives who witnessed their husbands' receiving new motorcycles.
She told the riders how the President has a lot of love for them and asked them to be patient while working to achieve their desired goals.
Among the beneficiaries of the brand new motorcycles were, Wasswa Hussein, Tugume John, Mugerwa Benard, Byakatonda George Williams, Sekabira Fredrick, Kamukama Patrick, Muyanja Abud, Wabwire Noah, and Nfuko Emmanuel.
Others were Wasswa Henry, Twinomujuni Onesmus, Sekaja Juma, Asiimwe Gilbert, Twinamasko Henry, Tamale John, Ntume Joseph, Wafula Bernard, Daki Moses, Fazil Wasswa, Godfrey Walyaula, Muwonge Ramathan and the late Galiwango Robert whose sister received it on behalf of their mother.
