National Response Fund to Covid-19 asks CEOs to donate to it shs 10,000 from each employee's salary

National Response Fund to Covid-19  targets to raise 170 Billion and 10 Motor Vehicles for each district. The fundraising strategy includes reaching out to citizens through their CEOs to appeal to their employees to DONATE A FREE WILL GIFT of a small part of their salary. In a press statement, the committee is proposing 10,000/= only per employee during the period May-June with a goal of raising 30Billion. The committee is also requesting employers to match this fund wherever possible. The committee is also reaching out to foreign donors and friends of Uganda in the Diaspora to donate generously during this COVID-19 pandemic time. As at 14th May, the Fund has raised UGX 28Bn in Cash and goods in kind from 600 entities.
