Kasibante accuses Kawalya of working for NRM
Lubaga North Member of Parliament Moses Kasibante has accuses the National Unity Plartform flag bearer for Member of Parliament in his constituency, Abubaker Kawalya of working for NRM which he termed as the enemy.
This followed the NUP’s vetting committee denying Kasibante the party flag and giving it to Abubaker Kawalya, the current speaker for KCCA.
Speaking to the journalists on Saturday in Kampala, Kasibante criticized the National Unity Platform Electoral Commission, describing their vetting process as immature.
“The process only limited us to vetting in determining candidates of various positions of leadership, the challenges are enormous but the solutions were not there,”he said.
He added that NUP has been infiltrated by NRM agents who are distorting their struggle. “Abubakar Kawalya is a devil and an intruder from NRM who was supported by NRM during his speakership of KCCA,” he said.
Responding to the allegations, NUP spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi wondered why DP bloc members are calling People NRM moles and no one is calling them DP moles.
He said NUP was formed recently and many people who have joined were previously members of different parties.
