Bobi Wine conned us, we want our party back- Kibalama

In a new twist of events, Mzee Nkonge Moses Kibalama the Founder and former president of the National Unity Platform (NUP) has renewed his plans of taking back his party.

Mr. Kibalama accused Rubongoya and his club of their deceptive behavior after People Power Movement grossly abused the Memorandum of Understanding it signed with NUP.

Mzee Kibalama is cursing the day he met members of the People Power Movement. He admits that at first sight, he thought they meant good and had good intentions for his party and the country.

However, Bobi Wine and Mr. David Lewis Rukiri also known as Rubongoya and team conned NUP founders and party leadership, man confesses.

“We thought our colleagues from People Power Movement meant good and had good intentions for our party and the country. Little did I know that i and my fellow leaders were only being used as a vehicle to drop Bobi Wine and Lubongoya to their destination,” says Mr. Kibalama.

“As if disregarding the MOU wasn’t enough, Rubongoya went on to change the original constitution and erased all NUP founding members.”

“Rubongoya is currently running NUP on a new forged constitution that he made himself in contempt to the official constitution submitted to the Electoral Commission,” NUP founding father Kibalama said.

During a press conference held at NUP headquarters at Kamwokya Mr Rukiri has denied the MOU saying he (Mr. Rukiri) has never signed any document with NUP party.

“For Ssenyonyi it could be understandable since he is not well versed with facts behind People Power Movement and NUP marriage,” former NUP president explained.

“It was very immoral for Rubongoya to deny an MOU he personally drafted, wrote, and signed on behalf of People Power Movement,” Mzee Kibalama stated.

Following Rubongoya’s actions Kibalama says that he has been reminded of Bobi Wine’s own words that Kampala is a city for smart people not slumbers “E Kampala buli omu asiba kiwani”.

Kibalama through his lawyers of Mugabi and Shyaka company advocates reminded Rubongoya and his People Power team for a meeting on 11th July 2021 to review the MOU.

The letter reiterates Kibalama’s decision not to renew the MOU, which gives him fresh powers to administer the party.
