Bobi Wine’s export of hate to Kenya a mockery of Uganda’s opposition
The National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and his fellow opposition politicians have been in Nairobi attending a two day conference to discuss Uganda’s human rights record.
The conference that started on 16th November ended yesterday, 17th November 2022 has left a section of Kenyans in disbelief of how the opposition in Uganda operates.
At the conference, Bobi Wine tried hard to portray the regime as dictatorial and one that doesn’t allow freedom of expression. Bobi Wine and colleagues after their rants in Kenya returned safely, got to their homes and are preparing to enjoy the allowances paid to them by their donors.
Bobi Wine appearing on Kenyan television stations attacking the government of Uganda and calling Museveni a dictator,is a move to find sympathy from the gullible Kenyans and the attendees of the conference.
According to Bobi Wine, the reason why the conference was held in Kenya is that it would not be allowed to take place in Uganda which is a blatant lie. It is a lie because he intended to call upon people from Buganda and Busoga to come forth and cause an uprising while in Kenya which would not have been allowed in Uganda as it threatens lives and livelihoods of a vast majority of Ugandans.
The opposition have held their meetings successfully in Uganda and no one has stopped them before on grounds of just conferencing.
NUP planned for the conference to be held in Kenya because they knew that they were planning to make a call that would cause chaos on the streets and encourage violence.
While appearing on a Citizen TV show hosted by Waihiga Mwaura on Thursday night, Bobi Wine sounded frustrated that Uganda has not been sanctioned by the West. This is a clear indication for us to believe that he thinks it is Neo-colonialists who should solve simple and normal internal political disagreements in Uganda!
When he was asked about a tweet he posted two weeks ago in which he attacked Kenyan Member of Parliament for Fafi MP, Salah Yakub about his personal opinion to remove presidential term limits in Kenya, he stammered and had nothing important to say in fear of being ridiculed by Kenyans.
His tweet on 8th November 2022 read: “Dear Kenyans, BE VIGILANT. Save your country from Musevenism. This may come off as a lone MP making a ridiculous suggestion, but this is how it starts…… Defend your constitution before it’s too weak to defend you.”
His tweets show he is intolerant to the views that differ from his and this is a very dangerous trait for a leader. Then again, maybe it’s a good thing as it exposes his intolerance to differences of opinions and what he can do if he gets into power.
Secondly, he was already meddling into the internal affairs of Kenya during presidential elections and this was an indirect jab at President Ruto whom he sees as a close friend of Museveni.
Bobi Wine is obsessed with abusing President Museveni and wants to blame him for everything he feels is not right. But put to a litmus paper what does he do, lure accident victims to confess torture, compromise the Kadama with little money to claim that Bobi Wine paid for their repatriation from Middle East and confuse the un-informed local people into hate of their country while he enjoys the funding from the LGBT community and enemies of Uganda. What a wasted dream of an opposition leader.
