Bunyoro NUP Coordinator, Angalia K Godwin defects to NRM.

The Bunyoro region coordinator for the National Unity Platform(NUP) Angalia K Godwin has Joined the National Resistance Movement(NRM) saying he cannot withstand the violence in the NUP.

Angalia who is also an aspiring MP for Buliisa constituency under NUP ticket was a DP NEC member for 8 years before crossing to NUP/people power.

He said he cannot be part of those who want to turn Uganda into a failed state like Libya which was destroyed by rioters supported by western countries.

Angalia said, he chose to defect from NUP in the name of keeping peace that NUP members are targeting to destroy. "Violence is war and I can't fuel or be part of the team which has dimensions and elements of dis- stabilising peace in the Country. War in Uganda will disadvantage Bunyoro most due to Oil/gas activities. We need to keep peace b'se we're one" Angalia Kasigwa Godwin noted .

He defected to NRM after meeting NRM national chairman also president of Uganda

His defection comes barely months after Kagadi NUP coordinator also Ndaiga sub-county district councilor, Hon Akugizibwe Livingston defected from NUP to NRM after meeting Y.K. Museveni.
