France donates items worth 10 billion to aid Uganda’s fight against Covid-19



The government of France has donated to Uganda medical items valued at 2,711,050 euros (10.8 billion UGX). 


 

The items include; FFP2 face masks, antigen testing kits and Osiris3 respirators to boost Uganda’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.


 

Uganda is currently battling the second wave of the pandemic which has claimed the lives of more than 2500 citizens.

However, the measures employed by the Ministry of Health and the government of Uganda have seen new cases dropping to less than 100 in one day.

 

Results of COVID-19 tests done on 25 July 2021 confirmed 71 new cases bringing the cumulative confirmed cases are now 92,795

2 Truck Drivers from Mutukula.

The President is scheduled to address the country on Saturday 31, July to tell the country after finishing the 42 days Covid-19 induced lockdown.
