Kawempe North NUP councilors denounce Ssegirinya as their flag bearer for MP race

Several councilors and other leaders from the National Unity Platform have today denounced Muhammad Ssegirinya  aka Mr updates as their flag bearer for the MP race.

The National Unity Platform vetting committee picked Ssegirinya as the Party's flag bearer, dumping the famous kidandala.

However today several party members led by their area councillors have called a press conference rejecting the Party's decision and demanding Ssegirinya to be removed from the position.

n denouncing Mohammed Ssegirinya as the Kawempe North MP flag bearer, the councilors say he is ''extremely unpopular'' among the electorate given his "nature and character" rendering him incapable. 

 

The division and confusion in the NUP vetting and nomination process has brought distrust  to the party with many Ugandans doubting it's motive.
