LAST DROP OF URINE FALLS AMIDST LEGS: BOBI WINE SCORES OWN GOAL CONCLUDING HIS SPEECH AT GENEVA SUMMIT
Following the Geneva summit for human rights and democracy, Kyagulanyi alias Bobi wine bounced towards the podium to deliver his speech which many stakeholders including some journalists have termed as a dramatic one.
Bob Wine who started decently to deliver his speech, disappointed the congregants when at last scored an own goal as he spoke the so-called zigzag statements.
"In 2019 I announced that I was running for the presidency now under General Museveni's Uganda that means three things it either means prison or being forced into exile or death. Ladies and gentlemen, it is not an exaggeration to say that my life is in danger because I live in Uganda and after here am going back to Uganda" he said in the speech.
Such statements paused multiple questions in the hearts of many people including those of his own motherland Uganda. How do you say that to oppose Museveni means being forced to exile yet you the opposition leading figure is hanging on the streets of the country.
As soon as landing in Entebbe on the 8th.April.2022, from the Geneva summit Kyagulanyi, traveled to Gulu.
"Upon my return to Uganda last night, I traveled straight to Gulu to personally deliver my condolences to the family, the people, and the leadership of Acholi," Bobi wine tweeted. The hilarious question is; is traveling to Gulu a form of forced exile?
His speech also stressed that to oppose President Museveni means prison and the standing question here is did Bobi Wine break prison halls before going to Geneva for the summit?
Saying that it means death to oppose Museveni caused suspicion not only in the international community but also in the Ugandans that Mr. Kyagulanyi and other NUP leaders could be working for President Museveni.
The question is was it a moving corpse speaking to the summit or was a ghost that had earlier died before leaving Uganda since he stated that you have to be dead in order to oppose Museveni.
Such statements are confusing and contradictory.
In the video clip which went viral on all social media platforms, Bobiwine is seen speaking lies concerning the Karamoja issue as he argued that the Uganda military forces are bombing the area because of the huge support rendered to Nup by the people in the region.
We are following the situation in the Karamoja region, and I debase Kyagulanyi's allegations concerning the cattle rustling conflicts in the region. He should by now have learnt a better convincing technique because what he uses now is confusing.
Journalism owes society a duty to verify claims politicians make as well as collaborate their information. I can’t wait to see journalists stand up to make some of this information straight for us.
Journalists should endeavor to maintain their neutral grounds in order to guide the public on the right path. Ugandans should also should get into the habit of seeking the right information in cases where occurrences are being politicized.
