Bobi Wine Sacrifices 348 MPs for Greed to Gay Funders

Robert Kyagulanyi, the National Unity Platform (NUP) party president, also known as Bobi Wine, during an interview with the British Broadcasting Council (BBC) on November 30, 2023, held in the UK, attacked all members of parliament before his white funders, leading to their getting banned from travelling to the US.

According to Bobi Wine, the homosexuality bill was introduced by Museveni and supported by all those against his party, NUP, his family, and himself to punish him for identifying with homosexuals, which the US has retaliated by issuing a visa ban to all 348 MPs who voted against the anti-homosexuality bill.

“Museveni and all those who supported the bill did so in order to punish NUP, and the NUP MPs voting for the bill, you must know that they also work for Museveni,” he said.

However, Asuman Basalirwa, a Member of Parliament representing Bugiri Municipality on the opposition ticket of JEEEMA, who introduced the Anti-Homosexuality Act, stated that it was not a political but a moral act.

As long as they acted in the best interests of the constituents they represent, he urged his fellow lawmakers not to feel threatened or intimidated by the US visa ban.

“Do not get intimated by this visa ban issue by the US and Kyagulanyi’s outbursts, claiming that the opposition MPs were influenced by President Museveni to pass this law. Stand firm against narrow-minded people who are pushing selfish interests and not those of Ugandans," he said.

Jonathan Ebwalu, the Soroti West Division Member of Parliament, has asked Bobi Wine and all those who support homosexuality to relocate to the US and UK, stating that the stakeholders, who are the people MPs represent, wanted the bill passed, and that is what was done.

“Those who don’t want that law, let them leave our country; they go and live in the United Kingdom or the United States. But we are going to protect the law with our blood, sweat, and souls. If they want to cut their aid, let them cut, but we are going to defend this law," said Ebwalu.

Basalirwa further said that Bobi Wine told lies when questioned about the bill on the BBC, stating that he (Bobi Wine) has fallen into the hands of homosexuality, and it is widely known that the forces behind promoting homosexuality are very strong because they have money and influence.

“I know that some of our colleagues are under pressure. There is a lot of pressure; there is a lot of intimidation. These forces from Britain and America have come to my office, and I have engaged them; they are looking for allies," said Basalirwa.

"Therefore, it isn’t true that anybody could have used any of the MPs to bring that piece of legislation into parliament, because in any case, it isn’t new in this Parliament,” added Basalirwa.

According to Basalirwa, Bobi Wine fell into the money trap of the gay funders and has been enjoying all the money floated around him, which he has used to amass a lot of wealth and businesses abroad, so he has to do everything possible to stay on their good side, even if it meant sacrificing people and MPs, even from his own party.

“Look at his properties and those of his other family members, here and abroad; you will understand why he would deny his colleagues, who have stood with him through thick and thin; you will understand what that gay money has done to him,” added Basalirwa.

According to some sources, the Moslems in Parliament and Kampala have been courting Bobi Wine to make Basalirwa the next LOP, urging that, much as he does not subscribe to NUP, he is quite knowledgeable and eloquent and could be a good replacement for Mpuuga.

However, according to sources, that dream is farfetched since Bobi Wine led to the visa ban of 348 MPs for the sake of pleasing his funders; he will not give Basalirwa that chance since he was the mover of the bill.

“Bobi Wine cannot make Basalirwa his next LOP; it will hurt his finances, and as we all know, he will do anything to keep the cash flowing into his accounts,” said the source.

Basalirwa and other MPs have vowed not to bow to pressure from the US due to the bill and cautioned Bobi Wine to mind the motives of the US and not be money-hungry to sell his country and destroy its beliefs, culture, and norms.
