Heads of State Jetting in for President Museveni’s Inauguration
Several heads of state and delegates will start jetting in Uganda on Tuesday 11th may to grace President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s swearing in ceremony.
Russian President Vladmir Putin, will send a presidential delegate to represent him at the swearing in ceremony of President Museveni on Wednesday.
The Russian representative will be among the heads of state and delegates from different countries who will be jetting in tomorrow ahead of the Wednesday function.
In a statement today, the Presidential Press Secretary, Linda Nabusayi, noted that among those arriving tomorrow include presidents of Somalia, Guinea, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Ghana, South Sudan, and the Vice President of Nigeria.
Others are; Republic of South Africa Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Minister of Combatants of Mozambique, Prime Minister of Gabon, African Union Commission Chairperson, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic.
Others are the East African Community Secretary General, Executive Secretary of the International Conference on Great Lakes Region, and the executive secretary of the Inter-Government Authority on Development.
In January, the Electoral Commission chairperson, Justice Simon Byabakama, announced President Museveni the winner of the presidential elections with 58%, beating his other 10 contestants.
